A recent report released on September 12, 2012, by Nancy Pfund and Michael Lazar of DBL Investors, titled “Red, White and Green: The True Colors of America’s Clean Tech Jobs”, confirms with real data what those at 38 North Solutions have known intuitively – that clean tech jobs are growing faster in “red” states than in “blue” states.
In fact, despite public posturing from the right in Congress that clean energy is not economic, Republican governors from traditionally red states like Mississippi, Kansas, Louisiana, and Texas, have led greening efforts and groomed the markets for clean technology investment in their states. The job numbers are startling.
In its “Venture Capital Dispatch” blog, William Tremain of the Wall Street Journal wrote about this interesting disconnect between those inside and outside the Capitol beltway.
