LOBBYING: Public affairs shop specializing in clean energy nabs ex-Hill aide
by Josh Kurtz, E&E Reporter
A Capitol Hill veteran is joining 38 North Solutions, a public affairs firm serving the clean energy and innovation industries.
Isaac Brown comes to the firm from Edwards Wildman, a law and lobbying firm, where he represented corporate, nonprofit and government clients on energy, financial services, health, national security, telecommunications and transportation issues.
Before his stint at Edwards Wildman, Brown worked on Capitol Hill, as legislative director and floor assistant to Chief Deputy House Democratic Whip Jan Schakowsky of Illinois and as a staffer on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee when Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) was the top Democrat there.
“Isaac’s deep understanding of legislative issues, as well as his enthusiasm for promoting clean energy and entrepreneurial ventures, extend both our capabilities and connections in Congress and the administration,” said Patrick Von Bargen, one of the three founders of 38 North Solutions.
Brown holds an undergraduate degree from Clark University and a master’s in public policy from Brown University.
